The Inspiration of a Fashion Lookbook

Seeing stylish variations of outfits on real people always keeps me saying to myself, "that's amazing".

What Are You Wearing Today? Take A Daily Outfit Photo

Have you started taking pics of your outfits yet? It could actually give you a head start deciding what to wear for the next day. Sure you could plan to put your outfit out before you goto bed, but sometimes that just doesn't happen. You stay up late doing something, and the next thing you know your alarm is going off and you panic because you don't know what to wear & you have approximately 5 minutes to make the decision.

I almost cringe when I look in my closet, & I just cannot dress myself. This goes hand and hand with the limited-time problem on an sadly regular basis. Luckily, this is where the daily outfit pics can help. A quick browse through my closet outfit photos & I remember that the seemingly-unwearable (but very cute) dress goes VERY well with those trousers… & so on.

Thrift Store Finds

Outfit Style This outfit has a considerable amount of pieces that I've picked up from thrift stores. Going to thrift stores is like trying to find a needle in a haystack because you really have to look through racks and racks of stuff before finding someone worth even looking at, but when you finally find something really great, it's such a great feeling. I'm so glad I found this denim shirt, denim is one of my favorite fabrics, it literally goes with everything. Denim is a great way to dress something down-like this floral skirt. Accessories like this lavender envelope clutch and bronze bracelet bring the whole outfit together.

if you close the door the night could last forever

Outfit Style This dress is one of my favorite pieces in my closet - the layers of jersey and silk somehow go perfectly with both motorcycle boots and the highest heels. I got it in New Zealand (seriously this is unintentionally becoming a catch phrase here) at Black Box, one of the only boutiques I've ever been in where I've wanted most everything.

Outfit Occasion Sometimes the most awkward situations come from taking photographs in random places..some drunk guy came up to inspect what we were doing and proceeded to offer up his dog as a prop. Declined. But the dog was pretty cute.

Midi Dress

Outfit Style I paired this midi dress with tights and combat boots to give it an edgy look. It's a really great outfit for feeling empowered. There's nothing like wearing a really tight dress and knowing you look good in it and wearing combat boots with it because that says, I look hot, but don't touch because I can take care of myself!

Outfit Occasion Unfortunately, today was a really rainy day and so these photos had to be taken inside, natural lightening does really make all the difference.
